Am I right, or am I right?

I like to joke with others using a twist on the familiar "Am I right, or am I wrong?" question. Like the title of the post, the scientific community does not like anyone who does not agree with them. In the book, I outline several accounts of people who were denied positions because they believed in creation. Another incident has come to my attention and you can read the whole story at

It is evident that science is closed-minded to anything that challenges their own beliefs about the unobservable. The public is unaware of the fact that it takes a great amount of faith to believe some of the theories advanced by science to explain why we are here.

From Hula-hoops to Getting Lucky

Many of us have grown up with Alvin and the Chipmunks and enjoyed their antics over the years, but a new movie is coming out this Christmas Season that recasts them as modern sexually aware rodents. They have gone from not wanting to get a hula-hoop for Christmas to wanting to "get lucky." You can see the lyrics of the soundtrack at

While the rating is PG per the website, the film features the chipmunks doing the familiar "chica chica wow wow" mimicking pornographic movie soundtracks and Alvin showering in the dishwasher singing "don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me."

Despite these "warnings" many parents will take their small children to see this movie and our precious little ones will be imitating and singing what they have seen on the screen. Will the next Alvin movie feature chipmunks lovemaking? We must call attention to what we are doing to our children and return to a relationship with God before it gets worse. Exposing young children to sex will only create a generation of sexually frustrated adults seeking a thrill from more deviate behavior when they tire of more conventional sexual activity. While that is already happening among our young people, it will only get worse as younger kids imitate what they see and hear in the world.

"NIV Matthew 18:6 But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

How long will we allow this to happen before we do something?

"It's A Madhouse!"

In my book I refer to the line uttered by Charlton Heston in the movie, "Planet of the Apes" when the apes are hosing him down. The plot has apes higher on the evolutionary scale than humans and as an astronaut from our time he struggles with this topsy-turvy situation. Well, it's the Holiday Season again and the attacks on Christmas have begun. One of our high schools has banned the use of the word "Christmas" from a charity drive put on by the students. You can read the whole story here A few weeks ago I was reading about a school in Maine that wants to give 11 year-olds birth control pills. That one is at,2933,303521,00.html

If you have been around for a number of years you have probably seen how society has moved from a reverence of God to a reverence of Government. When will this trend stop? How low will we sink? Is there no bottom to which we can fall?

Degradation of Society

If you are still not convinced that we are, as the title of my book says "Going To Hell In A Handbasket" then you probably have not seen or even heard of the Folsum Street Fair held in San Francisco. Sexual deviates of every stripe publicly display their decadence for all to see. One site with photos displays a warning before you can enter it at You can read other stories without having to subject yourself to the images on the site to get an idea of the activities engaged by these God haters. I suggest which has other news references to the event. They even had a poster mimicking the Lord's Supper by Michelangelo with leather clad, semi-nude characters for the Apostles and Jesus with sex toys for the food and cups. Some parents even brought their children to witness this event so that they could see the "diversity." God may give us free will to worship Him or not. The country may grant us the right of free speech. However, God will call on everyone to give an account in the end. If you don't know what He will judge us by (Bible) then how can you have confidence that He is pleased with our behavior.

I agree with Christopher Hitchens!

Christopher Hitchens is the popular atheist who wrote "God Is Not Good". Here is an excerpt from my book where I agree with one of his statements.

" There is one thing that Hitchens states that I agree is true. He challenges the Christian to admit that we have only faith to rely on and not facts.[1] That is true; we have nothing but a faith in God and a bunch of arguments to support that faith. What does the atheist have other than a faith that God does not exist and a bunch of arguments to support their faith. There is nothing more to say about a book that says nothing new.
[1] Hitchens, Christopher, “God Is Not Great”, Twelve Books, Paris, 2007, page 122."

My book differs from most other apologetic works in that I approach the detractors of Christianity and religion in general by exposing their lies, deceptions, errors, and changing hypotheses and theories. Their evidence is no better than ours, but neither camp has a smoking gun for its viewpoint. To the atheist I say, “Are you trying to kill my belief in God, or are you trying to kill your own doubts deep inside yourself about whether God exists or not?”

Habakkuk 2:4 states that the righteous will live by faith.

When does it stop?

One of the questions that I ask in my book is, "When, or at what point does the increasing depravity of the world stop?" A new example is the new kiddie porn movie shown at the Toronto film festival. While, the actress was 18 at the time of the filming, she depicted a 13 year old that was being abused by her adult neighbor, her father and engaged in sexual relations with her boyfriend all in graphic detail. One of the actors, Aaron Eckhart, rationalized his part in the movie by saying that it brought attention to child abuse. I think that you can make people aware of abuse without acting it out in great detail on the screen. While many who watched it walked out, many stayed and continued watching the film. How much longer will it be before no one walks out on filth like this movie? Our consciences and our sensibilities are being worn down by popular culture. The complete story is @,2933,296376,00.html

Chapter-by-Chapter Summary

Chapter Summary

The World’s Condition

This chapter details from the modern record just how lax our morals have become and what we and our children are engaging in today. Sex, crime, permissiveness, ethical issues and the decline of traditional religious beliefs are documented in this chapter.

Why We Love It

Despite how corrupt the world has become, there are few who really want to change or return to a more traditional society. We have become so selfish that we only focus on our own desires and seeing that our children get everything they desire despite the dangers in some cases. We will put up with a more dangerous world because to return to God means following Him and giving up sin. Many today have no conscience to help them see right from wrong or call them back to God. That is the real danger.

How We Got Here – Popular Psychology Movement

Our selfishness stems from the rise of this movement that encourages us to focus on ourselves. Parenting books taught us to be permissive and we are paying the price because our children have had minimal restrictions and engage in abhorrent acts.

How We Got Here – Evolution And its Errors

Evolution, the “secular religion” puts forth its theories and claims they are absolute truths that can’t be challenged. Yet, it is full of assumptions which are outlined in this chapter.

How We Got Here – Science And its Inaccuracies

While science has brought us many great advancements, it also relies upon current thinking which can change as new information becomes available. The scientist will fervently hold to his/her belief as absolute truth just as any God believing Christian will hold to his/her faith until new discoveries change that belief.

Special Study: I Found Your Soul

Science thinks it has found the soul. The only thing to note here is science’s misunderstanding of soul and spirit.

How We Got Here – Atheism And Its Distortions

Atheists use lies and distortions in an attempt to destroy the doubts that they have and not the faith of others. They proselytize with more vigor than many religions today.

Beginning Of The End – How God Dealt With Iniquity

The Bible is full of nations and empires who met their demise because God raised up another nation in order to punish them. Not that these conquering nations were righteous, but they were just the instrument of God

Beginning Of The End – Demise of Empires in the Common Era

Many cultures from the time of Christ have met their end by the hand of other nations. These are examined in this chapter. It shows their moral and religious decline came before their demise.

Beginning Of The End – Signs of Our Demise

Now that we learned how God has dealt with societies in the past and how he still works in the affairs of nations that preceded us we can look at the signs of our demise. If God punished nations when they became too wicked, we must not be fooled into believing that we can’t suffer the same punishment.

Out Of The Handbasket And Into The Light

This chapter looks at scripture and how God wanted us to worship Him. God’s Word, as given to his prophets and through Jesus and the Holy Spirit to the Apostles is the only authority we should have in our lives. It is the Word of God and we should return to it as our source for life.

Book Infomation

The book is in the editing stage by the publisher, J. C. Choate so no release date has been set yet. However, the summary provided should get the discussion started. Do you agree with my assertions? Do you disagree? Whatever your position, let us discuss it here.

This book will be an eye opener as to what we have gotten ourselves into and what we must do to return to a relationship with God according to His will. The reader will be challenged to really look at the world’s condition and how it affects their daily lives. We don’t realize how much we are affected by society’s moral decline and this will show the reader what is happening around them and to them.

Our society’s condition is one of moral decay and religious decline. There are many problems that exist today. Religion is under attack by a progressively secular society, while perverse pleasures and other sins are celebrated and encouraged in the world. Our children are growing up with morals and without a conscience. In some cases they are encouraged to engage in behavior that was forbidden in the past. We put up with increased crime and abuses of every kind. We put up with these problems because we are self-absorbed. We do not desire to return to a more moral society because we may have to give up what we desire to engage in that may be against God’s Will. We have arrived at this juncture because of five secular faith destroyers. The popular psychology movement has created a society of selfish people who put themselves first instead of putting God and our fellow man first. We let our children down through neglect and permissiveness and it also fuels the neurosis of the masses. Evolution is advanced as absolute science when it is full of unprovable conclusions and inadequate theories. Science asks us to trust it as absolute truth, but its truth changes over time. Religion fails us today in many instances because it teaches us to focus on “Me” instead of God. The last faith destroyer is atheism the other “religion”. I say that because they are trying to proselytize everyone to their viewpoint at the altar of lies and distortion. Are they trying to destroy your faith or destroy their own doubts about whether there is a God?

The book takes a look at how God has dealt with iniquity in the past and then compares how empires and nations in our past met with the same fate. This shows that God is still active in the affairs of nations and causes one nation to rise up and punish other nations and rewarding faithful nations with prosperity. Then it outlines how we may be experiencing the same judgments based upon what is happening in America today.

The book concludes with what the Word of God says about having a relationship with Him. The scripture should be our only authority to guide us in worshiping Him.
